Baby MacDonald

 This is Dallon who comes to my house 3 days a week while his parents are at work. Basically he is an answer to prayers. Valette loves him. She is always very excited to see him.

This day I decided to try a Baby Einstein movie again, this one is about a day on the farm. I have 2 of them that I bought over a year ago, the other is Beethoven, which she likes but not as much. Valette just BARELY started watching a little bit of cartoons like Curious George. So I got out this one and she LOVES it. 

Valette loves the "Old MacDonald" song. She walks around all day saying "ee-i-ee-i-ee-i-ee-i-ee-i-oh." We laugh at how many vowels she adds.

We Live in a Zoo

We don't really live in a zoo. But upon entering the (real) zoo we realized that between the 4 of us there are SEVEN children. That is alot.

 I know that Valette is looking away in this picture, but she was totally interested in that tortoise. He was huge and easy for her to find and sitting still eating his breakfast. She kept pointing at him.

 This goat. He seriously walked away from Wyatt into the sun, peed on the ground, then took 2 steps back and DRANK from it. We were done with the petting zoo after watching this. Gross.

 Isn't that the cutest little swimsuit EVER? Also, please admire the pigtails because I LOVE them. Such a little girl necessity.

Okay, if you look in the shade you can see the tiger. He is huge.

We love play dates. Especially free ones. Rachael has a member pass to the zoo and can bring one guest and as many free kids as she wants. And Rena Jean got a culture pass which also admits 2 adults. So everyone went for free. It was hot but still enjoyable.

Also we all got to count it as a gym day because we had to hike up and down those hills with heavy strollers. In the sun. Just sayin.

Apparently I was quite lazy with the camera in July. I have exactly 4 days that I even got out the camera, none of which I took very many photos.

Baby Eden is born. Valette now has a cousin in the Lara family.

I Just like the face she is throwing. Eric's face is funny too, you'd think he wouldn't have to wonder "what is going on?" when I have a camera.

Raspberry Fingers

Costco had a couple weeks with some great fresh raspberries.

 Eric came home from work and started sharing with Valette.

 On a side note, Eric has taught Valette that to get what she wants she must first give him a kiss.

 We often discuss what this could lead to in later days:  kissing boys to get what she wants. uh-oh.

I really like this face. She is so contemplative.

 Eric started putting them on her fingers, which led to her learning how to show us that she is "one" when asked. She has remembered ever since.

That night Rachael and Jeff came over for dinner. Logan wanted in on the action, at this point he was ALMOST sitting up.

Wyatt's face cracks me up. Pretty sure this is an exact replica of a Jeff-face.
