a BIG something to celebrate
We are OFFICIALLY closing on our house tomorrow! That's right folks, Eric and I will be home owners. We are SO excited. Wow, we've been looking for months, finally found this one in May and we have known since the last week of May that this one would be ours for sure. They told us the target closing date would be June 30th, so we got all excited and started making all of our plans for days off of work and school to clean and paint and set up, then 3 weeks ago the FHA appraisal guy from the bank came to inspect the house and found 4 things that made it "unsafe to move in" that the seller would have to pay to fix because of FHA rules. Well, the seller is a bank and they don't care about anyones deadlines. They were moving along really slow, up until last week only one had been taken care of and we were told the closing would be late. Finally the realtor who is in charge of selling (who quote-unquote set up the people to come out and fix the issues) told us we could take care of "whatever we deemed necessary" to move in on time, only she didn't know, wink wink. So Saturday Eric and his dad took care of a few things while I cleaned the inside with help from Mom and sisters Lara and today my dad fixed the last thing on the appraisor's list. Badda bing Badda boom. We sign papers tomorrow! Woohoo!

Experiment
Here's the deal, I was only trying to figure out what is wrong with blogger, I've been trying to load a different photo on here for two days....oh well, Ill figure it out.
This one is from our announcement pictures, actually it really needs editing on the right side, I just picked a random one for an experiment. Maybe I'll work on this one next though. Until then, enjoy.

Up Do
Today I felt like an up do for church. I learned to do this one a long time ago, but I haven't done it to my hair for probably 5 years. I think your hair has to be JUST the right length to accomplish it and today it worked. phew. Actually when I started I pulled my hair up and then stared at the mirror for a whole minute thinking "oh no, I forgot how to do it!" But I got it on the second try. =) Tell me what you think:

This one is artistically more interesting, but you can see less of the do. Also I look like I'm making a ballerina hand pose, hahaha.

I know this one is odd, but I sure like it. Eric said he does too, so at least I'm not crazy. Also, I wore lipstick to church today on a whim, yeah, miracle. I know.

This blurry one is interesting too, I like what it did to the clip thing, like there are two of them. Plus it makes my hair look REALLY red ;>
(Keep in mind these photos are after all day of wearing this, it wasn't falling down quite this much when we went to church.)

This time it's Official
I stole this from Eric's sister Elise, it's one I hadn't seen before because it came from her camera. Wow. What a Precious, Tender, Lovely day: May 31, 2008. On Sunday Eric and I celebrated our for real One Year Anniversary. We took Friday off of work and spent a full 3 days together. It was lovely. Saturday night we went to my current favorite-but-too-expensive-to-visit-often restraunt Macaroni Grill. Then Sunday he made me breakfast, and we talked and watched a movie and just spent time together. I made him dinner and we enjoyed our lovely, and seriously tasty, wedding cake. I love being married. Eric is my Sun. He brightens my days and protects my nights. Being held all night is one of my very favorite things. I wish I could express better in words all that he means to me. I love him, there is no better expression of joy and happiness. Love.
This is it, it was even still pretty, most of the frosting completely intact =) Thank you, Shye Peterson.
Also, he surprised me with THIS:
