Daddy took her out for dinner and then they went shopping and Valette got to pick out her very own backpack. Daddy took her for a treat afterwards.

Notice the fever blister looking bumps beneath Valette's mouth. Poor girl. We found out the next day that Valette (and later Abbi) had hand foot mouth.  We had to be quarantined in our house for a week and reschedule Abbi's birthday party until the end of the month.  It was a very mild case though. Thankfully. They never acted itchy or upset, they just looked like spotted characters out of a Dr. Seuss book.
